Academics

In 2002, I graduated early (three years) from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, TX.

I currently attend Texas A&M University, as an undergraduate in the Department of Science. Estimated graduation currently stands at Fall of 2007.

I am currently the Primary Staff Advisor for the Texas A&M Unix/Linux Users' Group, TAMULUG.

Professional

I am employed by Texas A&M University's department of Networking and Information Systems as a Senior Network Analyst in the network security group.

Hobbies

I program in various languages. As a hobby, I normally work in Perl or PHP. My projects include:

  • an extensible IRC info bot, 'Destult'
  • a system to bridge otherwise unrelated chat networks (currently IRC and the Direct Connect chat protocol), 'Amygdale' (perl POE)
  • a standalone command-oriented (non-interactive) IRC FServe, 'Risteau' (perl POE)
  • An AJAX-based Wishlist, 'Whitewash' (PHP/SQLite)
  • A client-server model automated Shoutcasting system, 'Lancaster' (backend: perl POE; frontend: PHP)

I ride a motorcycle, currently a 2007 Ducati Monster 695, in matte black and black.

I've recently become interested in photography, and I've been slowly accumulating the equipment necessary to properly feed this hobby.
